The award recognizes Lewis for his futuristic perspective on the implementation of internal controls in the development and delivery of VTrckS — the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s critical SAP-based Vaccine Management and Tracking System.
VTrckS was also named a 2011 Top 10 IT Achievement Award winner by Government Computer News (GCN). As Senior SAP Consultant and Operations Oversight Lead, Lewis played a pivotal leadership role in delivering this high-impact national system. His deep corporate expertise, systems knowledge, and strategic vision were instrumental in successfully implementing a solution described as:
“a system which guards a critical path to the nation’s immune system, integrating the supply chain through which 60 million doses of the pediatric vaccines used in the United States are distributed annually.”
VTrckS provides secure, real-time visibility and control over the entire vaccine supply chain — from ordering and distribution to inventory management — supporting public health departments and healthcare providers across the country. Lewis’s contributions helped strengthen program integrity, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the reliable delivery of life-saving vaccines to millions of children.
